Fighting on Fumes: The Issue of Funding (6-minute Video)
The Phalaborwa Natural Heritage Foundation (PNHF) is a non-profit organization based in Phalaborwa, South Africa, situated on the border of the Kruger National Park. Phalaborwa is uniquely positioned as the only town with a gate into Kruger National Park within its town limits.
PNHF focuses on assisting nature reserves with anti-poaching and conservation activities, including snare removal, animal rescues and relocations, data collection and research, environmental education, and community outreach projects.
The organization partners with various groups, including LEDET, the Endangered Wildlife Trust, Elephants Alive, and local veterinarians, to maximize its conservation impact in the region.
However, raising money to fund their operations is extremely challenging, and they must rely on international donors and the GlobalGiving platform for support.
